A Little Bit of Heaven
now some Love Notes
from my heart to yours
The 23rd Psalm
"The Lord is my Shepherd"
The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness
For His name' sake.
Yea, though I walk through
The valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: For thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me
In the presence of mine enemies;
Thou annointest my head with oil;
My cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life,
And I will dwelli
In the House of the Lord forever.

My grandmother gave me
a little book, of this Psalm,
when I was five years old,
and it touched me.
Looking back, the words,
in that little book,
became the foundation
of my faith today.

Quotes To Live By
The best and most
beautiful things in the world
cannot be seen or even touched.
They must be felt
with the heart.
by Helen Keller

Dance as if no one were watching.
Sing as if no one were listening,
and live every day as if
it were your last.
An Irish Toast

You're only here for a short visit.
Don't hurry, don't worry,
and stop to smell the flowers
along the way.
by Walter Hagen

Worrying does not empty
Tomorrow of its troubles;
it empties Today of its strength.
by Mary Engelbreit

Enjoy the little things,
for one day you may look back
and discover they were
the big things.

Life is not measured by
the number of breaths we take,
but by the number of moments
that take our breath away.

My Favorite Poem
I have loved this poem
since I was a small child,
and despite my illness,
it describes how I feel
about my life.

Oh, I have slipped
the surly bonds of earth
and danced the skies
on laughter-silvered wings.
Sunward I've climbed,
and joined the tumbling mirth of
sun-split clouds, and done a hundred things
you have not dreamed of -
wheeled and soared and swung
high in the sunlit silence.
Hovr'ring there, I've chased
the shouting wind along,
and flung my eager craft through
footless halls of air.
Up, up, the long, delirious, burning blue,
I've topped the windswept heights
with easy grace where never lark,
or even eagle flew.
And while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
the high untrespassed sanctity of space,
put out my hand,
and touched the face of God.
John Gillespie Magee, Jr.
September 3, 1941

On December 1941,
Pilot Officer Magee a 19-year old American
serving with the Royal Canadian Air Force in
England was killed when his Spitfire collided with
another airplane inside a cloud. Discovered among
his
personal effects was this sonnet written on
the back of a letter at the time he was in
flying school at Farnborough, England.
A Love Note to You
Life is a precious gift,
and there is no mountain
that cannot be climbed,
or obstacle overcome,
if you have the faith, and
will, to never give up.
May God bless you with
faith, peace, love and joy.

I leave
you with this
blessing ...
May the road
rise to meet
you,
May the wind be
always at your
back,
May the sun
shine warm upon
your face,
the rains fall
soft upon your
fields,
and until we
meet again,
may God hold you
in the palm of
his hand.
